The 5th Annual Barnstormers Tour took place on Saturday, June 18, 2011. This year's tour were of nine barns in "Glade Valley" between Walkersville and Woodsboro, MD. Docents were available at the barns to answer questions.
Over 35 Maryland artists painted at the barns during the tour. At the end of the afternoon, a reception and art show was held at the main barn. The paintings were displayed and offered for sale.
The annual tours are sponsored by the Frederick County Landmarks Foundation. It is an annual fundraiser to increase awareness and inspire a passion for the older barns of Frederick County.
